Duke Oster of the Northlands finds his long-lost dragon-blooded daughter, Ella, after fifteen years apart. The girl carries dragon blood, her power sealed within a necklace. Ambitious Prince Reynold covets the dragons' power—he unleashes magical beasts, frames the Duke, and poisons him to death. Ella uncovers Reynold's crimes of regicide and treason, and in the final battle at the royal capital, she slays the giant beast and Reynold himself.
